Isle Royale

July 10-15 2021 SOLD OUT!!!

 August 7-12 2021

Do you enjoy remote wilderness areas?  Waking up to a moose enjoying their breakfast across a small bay?  Does the idea of diving on shipwrecks that less than 100 people get to visit in a year excite you?

Then our dive charter to Isle Royale National Park is a trip for you!

The number of wrecks concentrated in this area and amount of artifacts still remaining on these wrecks is simply amazing.  There are no Zebra Mussels in Lake Superior, so you can still see incredible details on every one of these breathtaking shipwrecks.

This location is a photographer’s paradise.  From the wildlife, to the sunsets, to the stars at night, and of course the wrecks underwater, everything is vibrant on Isle Royale.

We meet at the marina in Grand Portage Minnesota Saturday evening, depart Sunday morning and return Thursday afternoon.

We will be staying on a custom built boat made for diving on Lake Superior.  After each days diving we drive to a harbor to enjoy dinner and sleep to the boats gentle rocking.

Our courteous and helpful Captain provides excellent information about the wrecks we will be diving, and perhaps even better food!  On our trip this past year we ate fresh lake trout, T-bone steaks, and even a spaghetti dinner complete with wine!

Includes: 5 nights stay on the boat, 5 days of diving, 3 meals a day starting Sunday

Nitrox is available at $100 for the week.

Personal snacks and drinks welcome (NO GLASS).

Space is limited to 5 divers, and a $750 deposit secures your spot on this incredible trip.

Price for this potential once in a lifetime trip is $1350

Apostle Islands

September 23-26 2021

Wisconsin’s Apostle Islands National Lakeshore consists of 21 islands and expansive mainland shoreline on Lake Superior. Famous for its sea caves, normally visited in the winter, this area also has shipwrecks!

We have teamed up with Isle Royal Charters again to put together this fun filled and relaxing long weekend get away.

We will be meeting in Bayfield, WI on the evening of Thursday September 23rd, spending the night on the boat, and embarking in the morning. Friday and Saturday we are planning three dives a day, and two on Sunday, after which we should be back to Bayfield by early afternoon to unload our gear and head home. Each night we will be at dock on one of the many islands.

Most of the wrecks here are shallower, in the 25-50’ range. Names of a few are: Lucerne, Sevona, Pretoria, and Finn Mccool. But there are many other things to check out in this location. Massive underwater rock formations, wall dives, and of course the sea caves, which we can kayak around in during our surface intervals as well.

Food from Friday lunch to Sunday breakfast is included in the trip price. Captain Ryan is quite the cook, and previous trips have included marinated pork chops, Porterhouse steaks, pancakes and bacon, French toast, and Spaghetti!

Also included is your stay on the boat, air fills, and kayak use. Nitrox is available at $60 for the trip or $10 a fill.

Historical surface temps average 60 degrees in the month of September in this location, but it will still likely be colder at depth.

We have room for 6 divers, and our price for this trip is $725. 50% non-refundable deposit secures your spot on the trip and final payment will be due August 24th.

Before You Leave

Before leaving for your exciting vacation with Stillwater Diving, please consider the following:

Scuba Diving Insurance and Travel Insurance-

Diver Alert Network (DAN) provides scuba diving medical insurance for divers incase an incident occurs. Many normal health insurance pans do not cover diving related incidents, which can be quite expensive. In the unlikely event that an incident occurs, DAN provides an abundance of assistance and benefits for members. We strongly recommend purchasing the package of your choice for all who are diving. DAN also provides travel insurance so please check it out and make sure you are covered for those unforeseen circumstances above and below the water.

Click here to visit their website to view their insurance packages for both scuba diving and travel insurance

Passports -

For any travel outside the United States of America make sure you have a valid passport.  If you do not have a passport please make sure to apply for your passport with plenty of time before your trip.

Make sure you have at least six months before your passport expires (based on the date you will be returning to the USA) as most countries require this for entry.
